Why Get an ADHD Evaluation as an Adult?
Many adults go through life feeling overwhelmed, distracted, disorganized, or constantly behind—without realizing ADHD could be the reason. An evaluation can help identify whether ADHD is contributing to these challenges and offer clarity, relief, and a roadmap for managing symptoms. If you’ve struggled with focus, follow-through, time management, or regulating emotions, an ADHD assessment could be a valuable step toward better understanding yourself and improving your quality of life.
How can an evaluation help me?
An ADHD evaluation can help adults understand the root of challenges with focus, organization, motivation, and emotional regulation. It offers clarity, reduces self-blame, and provides a path to effective support—whether through treatment, workplace accommodations, or improved daily functioning.

ADHD Evaluation Process
Our comprehensive Adult ADHD evaluation is designed to provide clarity, insight, and direction. This process includes:
A 2-hour in-person clinical interview with a Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) certified in ADHD-CCSP
Standardized assessment tools: Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scales (CAARS) and the Sensory Processing Measure (SPM-2)
A personalized written report outlining your results, neurotype, sensory profile, and practical recommendations
A 1-hour follow-up session to review your report, discuss strengths and challenges, and explore next steps
Our ADHD evaluation is a thorough, multi-step process led by a therapist with advanced ADHD training. It includes a detailed interview and two key assessments—the Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scale (CAARS) and the Sensory Processing Measure (SPM-2), which you will complete as part of the evaluation.
Afterward, we’ll provide a personalized report with your results, strengths, challenges, and recommendations. In a follow-up session, we’ll review this together and discuss next steps. While the evaluation can support accommodation requests, approval depends on the policies of your school or workplace.
More About the Measures
CAARS (Conners’ Adult ADHD Rating Scales):
The CAARS is a questionnaire that helps identify signs of ADHD in adults, such as difficulty focusing, staying organized, or managing impulsive behavior. It gives a clear snapshot of how these challenges may be showing up in your daily life, which can be really helpful in understanding your experience and guiding next steps.
SPM-2 (Sensory Processing Measure):
The SPM-2 looks at how your brain processes things like sounds, textures, movement, and other sensory input. Some people are extra sensitive to certain sensations, while others may not notice them as much. Understanding your sensory patterns can help explain things like feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or needing to move a lot—and can lead to practical strategies that make everyday life feel more manageable.
Cost of ADHD Evaluation
Our Adult ADHD evaluation is $600 and includes a comprehensive 2-hour in-person assessment using standardized tools like the CAARS and Sensory Profile, followed by a one-hour review session. You’ll receive a personalized report with clear results and tailored recommendations. The fee reflects the quality and depth of the evaluation, the expertise of the Licensed Associate Counselor certified in ADHD clinical services (ADHD-CCSP), and the time invested in the clinical interview, scoring, report development, and follow-up meeting. Documentation can be provided upon request for possible partial reimbursement through your insurance plan.
