Meet the Team
Lauren Altmann, LAC
THERAPIST
Are you or your child feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, intrusive thoughts, big emotions, or patterns that seem difficult to change? I work with children, adolescents and adults to better understand what is happening beneath the surface and develop practical strategies that can make every day life feel more manageable. I spent 20 years as a school counselor supporting children and families and bring that experience into my clinical work. When working with children, I believe parents are an important part of the process and provide support and education to help families understand their child's needs and how to support them.
I offer counseling for all ages. I am trained in ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) for clients with anxiety and OCD. I also draw from CBT, DBT, psychoeducation, and other evidence based approaches. I adapt therapy to the individual. With younger clients, I use therapeutic play to help them learn skills in ways that are engaging and comfortable
As a breast cancer survivor, I bring a deep sense of resilience, empathy, and hope to my work. My own journey has strengthened my belief that healing is not only possible, but that individuals can emerge stronger, more grounded, and more connected to their purpose. I strive to create a safe, supportive space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered to grow.
Outside of counseling, I am a married mom of three. I enjoy cheering on my boys as a proud soccer and tennis mom, and singing and acting alongside my daughter. I also enjoy playing tennis and being part of the Wicked Warriors Dragonboat team.
